In September 2014, Samsung introduced the ProXpress M4583 monochrome laser multifunction printer (MFP) with a print speed OEM-rated at 47 pages per minute (ppm), and a duty cycle of 200,000 pages per month.
The supplies set is made up of a toner cartridge and separate drum unit. Replacement toner cartridges are available in 7,000 page low yield, 20,000 page high yield and 40,000 page extra high yield versions. All toner cartridges require a chip for the printers to function correctly.
